Join us at Camp Chickagami this summer and fall!

Friends,

It brings us immense joy to invite all ages to come play, learn, and grow at Camp Chickagami this summer! Registration is open now; sign up before space fills!

Since closing up for winter, our staff and diocesan leadership have been hard at work planning another summer of excellent camping and retreats. We can’t wait for warmer weather, when we can gather once again in this thin space along the shores of Lake Esau!

To register, learn more about our 2024 programs and volunteer opportunities, or to apply for employment, look further down in this email or visit campchickagami.org.

Camp Chickagami is committed to making sure every person that wants to is able to experience camp, regardless of financial ability. If the only thing holding you back from participating in our sessions is the registration cost, please view our scholarship information for more info.

If you have any questions, please email directors@campchickagami.org.

See you in Presque Isle!

Peace,

McKenzie Knill
Executive Director

OVERNIGHT CAMP & DAY CAMP

Our overnight and day camps feature all the best rustic camp activities: swimming, boating, fishing, arts and crafts, games, and so, so much more. Campers also join our Christian Formation team in exploring their faith through age appropriate, engaging, and self-led program. Throughout the week, our campers build leadership skills, gain independence, and form lifelong friendships.

Depending on the program, tiered pricing starts at $250-400/camper. Learn more on our website.

NEW: BIG & LITTLE CAMP

Big and Little Camp is a new three-night, four-day camp session designed for new and experienced campers to enjoy outdoor living and community experiences with a caregiver.

It encourages a lifelong love of adventure and requires one caregiver to accompany their child. Because we are running concurrent programming with other little ones, all adults must complete a background check before participating.

Our tiered pricing starts at $300 and includes the cost of the young camper and one adult caregiver. Additional adults and campers may be added in different configurations; email directors@campchickagami.org to inquire.

NEW: PEER MINISTRY LEADERSHIP CAMP

High school-aged young people are invited to spend a week at Camp Chickagami, exploring their faith in the community and growing deeper in leadership skills while being trained in Peer Ministry.

Peer Ministry is a specific curriculum that aims to gives youth the relational leadership skills to know how to listen, care, help when to seek help, welcome, and the skills needed to love every neighbor.

Our tiered pricing starts at $400/person.

FAMILY CAMPS

Grandparents, godparents, friends who are family, moms, dads, guardians, and kiddos of all ages are invited to attend this family-friendly session.

Camp Chickagami offers a family-friendly summer getaway on Lake Esau, providing opportunities to reconnect with nature, enjoy family-friendly activities, and relax. Programming and formation for both youth and adults are included.

All meals and lodging are provided, with families being lodged together. Travel campers and tents are also welcome.

Our tiered pricing starts at $300, plus $80 for each additional person in your party. Children under 3 are able to attend at no cost.

COUNSELORS-IN-TRAINING

Counselors-in-Training is a residential program focused on leadership development, skills building around child care and development, and program planning. CITs shadow counselors in their cabins and learn from our star team of trainers. And they have fun too! The majority of our counseling staff are alums of our CIT program.

CIT Session II takes it further, putting our CITs “in-action,” learning through practical application what it means to serve as a camp counselor at Chickagami. Participants in Session II must have completed Session I, whether the earlier session in 2024 or in a previous year.

These sessions have a limited capacity of 10 campers, so please register quickly! Our tiered pricing begins at $250/person.

ADULT RETREATS

God invites us to relationship each and every day. Retreats are open to all people, regardless of denomination or religious background.

If you have requests for cabin mates, please let us know during registration.
