Silence the Violence Month of Action

Educating and Advocating Against Gun Violence in June

Join End Gun Violence Michigan and Episcopalians across the state for a Michigan-wide month of action to Silence the Violence!

Silence the Violence began seventeen years ago by the Church of the Messiah in Detroit, bringing the community together to remember the victims of gun violence and advocate for action to prevent future injury and death. In 2023, Michigan passed four new historic gun laws. This year’s observance of Silence the Violence includes an effort to get the word out to Michiganders about these important new measures.

End Gun Violence formed in 2022, bringing faith leaders, advocates, survivors, students, teachers, healthcare, and more to advocate and pass the four new gun laws that went into effect in February 2024. Through these events, Silence the Violence brings awareness of the laws and what we can do in creating safer communities.
